Admiral of the Fleet (Ret.) Horatio Nelson, 1st Earl of Merioneth (joined 8 November 2020), is a parliamentarian and former senior Royal Navy officer who currently serves as a Member of the House of Lords.

He is also known as the Penny Earl, as coined by Elizabeth Howard-Campbell, 1st Duchess of Edinburgh, for his predilection to refuse salaries from His Majesty's Government.
