The Douglas Ministry began on 21 November 2023 when William Somerset, 2nd Viscount Douglas was invited by King Edward IX to succeed August Lleyton, 1st Earl of Stirling as Prime Minister of Great Britain. The Douglas ministry was formed from the 29th Session of Parliament, as a Heron Party hung government. It was dissolved on 3 January 2024, on the request of the Prime Minister, following the collapse and dissolution of the Opposition.
